Sean Porter of Daddy’s Dogs is hosting a drive-in concert series at the Daddy’s Dogs location in the Nations nightly on Thursday, May 28, through Monday, June 1. Modeled after drive-in theaters, the set-up features a stage for the performers using parameters approved by the Mayor’s COVID-19 Task Force, and musical acts will perform each night. The star-studded lineup includes Cassadee Pope, Kris Allen, Adam Hambrick, Sarah Potenza, Paul McDonald, Austin Jenckes and others. You have to submit a ticket request (tix are free) so they can keep track of the number of attendees or stay home and watch the show streaming live on the Facebook.
Who Let the Dogs In
Cheekwood has reopened so you can enjoy the botanic gardens while staying physically distant in their great outdoors. For the first three Thursday evenings in June, you can even bring your dog with you. They are hosting Dog’s Night Out from 6-8 pm on June 4, 11, and 18 for humans and their leashed furry friends.
Masks are the New Black
We are printing on cloth masks and we want your help picking out the design. Masks are important to slow the spread of coronavirus so why not wear one with a fun design. Please take a moment to answer our one-question survey. You’ll be the first to know when these are printed and ready for sale.
Food & Drink What
Brad White is the brains and the personality behind White’s Elixirs Drink Mixers, the cocktail mixers that allow you to enjoy fancy drinks with little effort. We found out how he got started (hint: Batch plays a major role in the origin story), the drink of the summer (spoiler: it’s made with one of his mixers), and what a Milkshake Funeral is.
